BEES HIDE A SURPRISING SECRET.

Image
By Ibrahim Ismail  When a hive loses its queen—the only one capable of giving life to the colony and maintaining order in a perfectly organized society—all seems lost. Life in the hive slows down. W ithout new eggs, the future disappears. Within a few weeks, the colony is threatened with extinction. But bees don't panic. Nor do they wait for salvation from outside. With an extraordinary display of collective intelligence and deep instinct, they launch a spectacular emergency response that is hard to imagine in a world ruled by insects. Transformation begins with a simple but essential choice. Worker bees select some ordinary larvae—the very ones that would normally become ordinary workers. They are nothing special. They were born no different. But now their fate changes completely. They are selected to receive a special diet: royal food. ON NAMING THE GOVERNMENT HOUSE AFTER TY DANJUMA.

Image
By Ibrahim Ismail   I read with joy and all sense of fulfillment a piece of publication which said: the Taraba State Government has been named TY Danjuma House. I love it whenever I hear names like Lugard House (Kogi) or Kashim House (Kaduna) and have always wished that the Taraba State Government House answers a special name like that of Kogi and Kaduna instead of a generic name - Government House.  The only thing that didn't cross my mind is naming the Taraba State Government House TY Danjuma House. And this is largely because we already have a TY Danjuma House in Abuja. However, naming the Government House after TY is overwhelmingly a welcome development especially since there is no edifice named after the elder stateman in the State.  I am certain that this commendable decision by the Governor to immortalize one of the state's illustrious sons would not only resonate with all Tarabans but will echo through the annals of Taraba and Nigeria's history. ...
